Dario dario,, formerly Badis dario, is traded under the names Scarlet Badis or Scarlet Dario. While females are largely plain, males have striking blue bands on a red body and are considered one of, if not the most colourful nano fish. Like most Badis and Dario sp., it prefers cooler water and frequent meals of live or frozen food, such as Daphnia and bloodworms. These miniscule fish pack tons of personality into a tiny body and make excellent centrepieces for small tanks!
